 related to the National Science Education Standards and the
  NEW 2012 NC Earth & Environmental Science Curriculum.\n\n	\n\n
 	Participants will become engaged with the content and inqu
 iry-based materials and will design Earth Science classroom
  experiences:\n\n	\n		as a learner\, through demonstrations\, com
 puter modeling\, and hands-on activities\;\n	\n		as an educator
 \, aware of how your students will interact with the materia
 ls and activities\;\n	\n		as a peer\, providing feedback and sug
 gestions to the presenters and each other\n\n	Topics covered 
 include:\n\n	Causes & hazards of earthquakes / plate tectonics
  / propagation of seismic waves / seismographs / earth’sÂ
  interior structure / weather processes from the global sca
 le to the microscale / the nature and role of climate / rem
 ote sensing and weather balloons/ CubeSat\n\n	This workshop is
