DESCRIPTION:August 6th to 9th (Introductory) and August 12th to 16th (Ad
 vanced)\n\n	Northwestern University - Evanston\, Illinois\n\n	The
  primary goal of these courses is to provide training for th
 e next generation of young scientists in the foundations of 
 robust methods in seismic data processing. Our aim is to ins
 pire the participants to become future leaders in developing
  more effective ways to handle data from large seismic datas
 ets\, such as the USArray. Participants will be selected into
  each short course by the program's steering committee based
  on the information provided in their applications. Travel a
 nd subsistence costs for participants in the short course wi
 ll be covered by financial support from IRIS through the NSF
 -EarthScope USArray Program.\n\n	Applications will be accepted
